If you've been following along over on my Instagram page, you know that things here on the home front have gotten crazy with the boys both home for school thanks to school exposures and quarantining. I had planned to get a try-on done this week, but it just hasn't happened (instead, 2nd and 4th grade at the kitchen table have!)
Today, I decided to set a mini goal - show you at least 4 things that I had originally wanted to include in a larger try-on. I'm adjusting expectations of myself, and will likely stick to smaller try-ons in the coming weeks because let's be honest, that's about the only thing that has a chance of getting done!
First up is this wrapped, ribbed sweater from Eloquii. I'm wearing it in a 26/28 and felt like it ran a bit big through the shoulders, but fit well everywhere else. It's the prettiest Kelly Green color and the fabric quality is great. It also comes in black and I think I might actually like this one better in black - so I could wear it off the shoulder with jeans or a skirt. It would lend itself to dressing up very well!
Next up, I also tried this Kelly Green Turtle Neck Puff Sleeve Sweater from Eloquii. It comes in 3 colors (tan and black not pictured) and fits TTS for the most part. It ran large in the arms (but it said puff sleeve so I expected that) and a bit cropped in the body, but not bad. I really liked the wide band across the bottom. Having that band wider kept it in place and not riding up, even on my backside. The only downside for me was the drop seam shoulder. I was hoping it would be less noticeable, but unfortunately, it was all I could see when it was on (this is something I am hyper aware of - for most people, this wouldn't be an issue!)
Oh, how I needed this jacket to work. It's the absolute perfect faux leather moto jacket in the best shade of burgundy. Unfortunately, the arms were too long for me (and had zippers at the wrists - making alterations too difficult) to keep. However, I still would HIGHLY recommend trying this jacket out. It comes in 9 different colors and could be styled endless ways! I'll continue my hunt to fit my shorter arms - but maybe your search stops here?!?
And last but not least are these medium wash, straight leg jeans! They are only $25 (on sale this week, normally $30) and fit amazingly well for my pear shaped frame. I was able to wear the smaller of my 2 sizes (sz 24) for these thanks to the fit, the stretch and the cut. My inseam is 27.5 inches and these hit just at the top of my ankle bone. They'll be perfect this fall!
Also pictured is my favorite white everyday tee. I baby this thing because it was much more expensive than I would normally pay for a teeshirt - but it is the perfect shade of white, fits like a glove, does not show every lump and bump and is NOT see through! I've since gone back and grabbed a black one as well and they are my 2 most used shirts in my wardrobe! I wear size XL (equivalent to a 26). This brand goes from size 00-40!
That's it for this mini try-on. I hope to be back sooner than later with more from the rack of clothes you can see behind me in these pictures!
