Plus Size Athleisure Try-On Part 3

Athleisure Plus Size Style Size Inclusive Try-On Universal Standard

This is the final installment of my plus size athleisure try-on.  You can view what I ordered in Part 1 here and what I tried on in Part 2 here. There are of course many more options out there, but I've found what I need for now (and therefore, I MUST make myself stop looking for all the cute athleisure things!) Many of these items are now on sale - some sizes can be limited - but I'll link what I can!  For reference, I typically wear a 24/26 or 3x/4x in most brands.  Here we go!

Lane Bryant Activewear Try on

This sports bra is a really fun purple/blue color.  I'm wearing it in a 48DD. I sized up one on the band size.  It has adjustable straps that criss cross and it hooks in the back like a normal bra (4x4 hooks).  It's extremely supportive thanks to the underwire, but also comfortable because it's cushioned without being a padded bra.  It's rare for me to find a sports bra that I like, so I'd put this one in the recommend camp!  I'm also wearing the matching leggings here.  What you can't see in the picture is that there is a braided detail at the back of the calf.  Not my favorite feature - but the fit and the pockets on these are absolutely great!  I plan to grab some with pockets and no braided back detail.  I'm wearing them in a 26/28 (my normal size).

I had high hopes for this tank top.  It's pattern is really cute - but wearing it in my normal size (26/28) it seemed very large, and very "plus size" if that makes sense.  If you are a fan of workout tanks that cut far away from your body, this will be the right one for you.  I should mention that it is on sale today for half off making it less than $15. If you are like me, and like something a little more conforming, go back to part 1 and check out the ones I grabbed from Athleta.

Next I tried the matching leggings.  These are the same as the purple pair above (side pockets, high rise, great fit) but no braid detail on the back calf.  I had to order up a size in these because they were out of my normal size, and unfortunately they were too big at the waist (gapping leggings is not a good look on anyone!).  So if you grab some leggings, especially while they are on sale right now, make sure to order your normal size!

If you recognize this sweatsuit - it's likely because I grabbed it in green before and we all loved it.  Some sizes and colors are limited now, but the good news is - it's on major sale and available in straight sizes and plus sizes.  Plus tops here. Plus Bottoms hereStraight size tops hereStraight size bottoms here.  I'm wearing a 3x on both top and bottom.

This sweatshirt is the same as the gray one linked above, just the peach color.  Yes, I love it so much, I now own all 3.  And I've covered these bike shorts before, but it's worth mentioning them again because I am a very anti bike shorts kind of person and this pair right here is my go-to when we are at home or doing something active.  Pockets on both sides and high rise.  Pricey - but WORTH IT!  They come in size 0-40 (I wear the XL).

This sports bra is the same as the blue one up above, but in black.  I probably like this one the most out of the two, just because I feel like it would work with just about anything.  And these wide leg lounge pants are perfect for just that - LOUNGING!  They are cozy/fuzzy knit, high rise, wide leg and come in multiple colors (8 or so). They are on sale today for only $14.  My inseam is 27.5 inches for reference and I'm wearing the 3x (they run big).

Not pictured on me, but what I'm actually wearing today with the above look is this wrap cardigan that is the perfect dupe for the Athleta wrap at 1/3rd the cost.  The Target one is only $28 and goes size XS-4X and the Athleta one goes XS-3X.  I've tried them both and the Target one is by far the BEST!  I can't recommend it enough!

And last but not least - I know this robe isn't "athletic wear" but we can put it in the category of lounge I think?!?  Either way - there is only a size 14/16 left in this amazing robe (I'm in a 26/28 here) - and it's half off right now.  I just didn't want to miss the chance to share.  It's silky, no static cling, big enough in the arms, hips and bust, has a small side tie on the inside to prevent it from falling opening and is a wonderfully warm rose color.  If you are a 14/16 - you should jump on this!
