Weekly Outfits from OneRealMomma

Ready for another week of the "What I Wore Last Week" series? You can view outfits from previous weeks by searching the site for the tag "What I Wore" to see previous outfits and how I rewear *some* items from week to week!  This week was full of snow and unbelievable cold here (below zero was the norm the last half of the week), so that influenced a few outfit choices.  I also rocked a super comfy hoodie for the Super Bowl and didn't hesitate once to lounge that evening pretending I cared about the game to justify it ;-). Let's get started!

Remember how much I told you I LOVED LOVED LOVED the peach cardigan from last week?!?  Well big surprise, I had to get it in cream too!  It's just so good and I can't recommend it enough. It comes in 6 colors in plus size, but is also available in straight size. I'm wearing a 3x and it runs oversized.  A few people have asked me about the length because it appears shorter on the website than it does on me.  I measured, and the 3x is 15 inches from the underarm seam (pit) to bottom edge.  Hope that helps in determining your size and if it will work for you! I recently ordered this classic crew neck cap sleeve t-shirt from Universal Standard in an XL (size 26 in their sizing).  It's more $ than I would normally spend on a t-shirt, but the quality is amazing and I love that they offer sizes 00-40! Truly size inclusive.  The shirt feels silky and smooth, but is heavy enough that it doesn't cling and works so well to layer or wear alone.  I've decided I'm going to let myself invest in closet staples like this so I don't end up rebuying each season. The skinny jeans from last week are back again! Size 26 and less than $20. My slingback flats are on sale for half off! I wear a size 10.  Finally, my earrings are size large and a great neutral patterned pair that go with so many outfits.

Bright and ready to take on the snow for this next outfit!  This is a new sweatshirt from Target that comes in multiple colors.  I love that it's not fuzzy inside so it can transition it easily into spring! I sized up to the 4x for an oversized fit and to make sure I can throw it in the dryer (where all my clothes go ;-) ) without thought.  I layered with a white v-neck tee and my layered necklaces to pull it all together.  My jeans are from Target too and are a great ankle length on me.  For taller people or people with an inseam of more than 28-29", they likely would be cropped.  I sized down to a 24 in the jeans.  My black slip on shoes are from last year, but the updated style from this year can be found here.  I wear a size 10 and they are amazing for arch support for my plantar fasciitis.

A pair of colorful bottoms was one of the items used in both the Fall '20 and Winter '21 ORM Challenges.  So I must think they are a closet staple, right?  These teal pants are one of my favorite brands of jeans for pear shape and hourglass shape bodies!  I wear a 24 in them and most people usually say they can go with their smaller size if they are between sizes. They are on sale right now for half off and come in 4 colors!  My striped long sleeve tee is sold out, but this bargain option for only $12 just came out and it looks great (with great reviews!) My cardigan is also a bargain for only $16 (owned in multiple colors!), worn in a 3x. Finally, my taupe shoes offer great support and are well worth the investment - especially because these right now are half off!  The gold hoop earrings are one of my most worn pairs and were an instant favorite when they arrived.

My sweatshirt was my first dip into the tie-dye world that became popular last year.  This is where I stopped.  I wanted to try it - I did - and that's where it ended.  We all have to have boundaries at some point, right?  This year, Target came out with a very similar sweatshirt line as last years with a bit different tie-dye look and also solid colors. If I had to do it over again, I'd buy the  solid baby blue or aqua  to match this look, but I was trying to use what was in my closet.  Still not sure the tie-dye look is me - and so it might end up going to consignment! But that's what we try!  Jeans were mentioned earlier, also from Target.  This was  the vest  I wore last week and is one I tend to slip on when the snow is coming down.  I like that it keeps me warm enough if we have to run a quick errand, but that it doesn't restrict me when driving.  It's on sale for half off right now too! I'm wearing the 3x. My  taupe shoes  are from last year too - but this year's pair is here and comes in regular width and wide width.

An evening of lounging for the Super Bowl requires an outfit that could easily transition into pajamas (in case we fall asleep), that's my situation anyway!  I grabbed these pieces from my closet, but found similar ones for you that are currently available.  A tan/taupe sweatshirt can be found here. A cute long sleeve striped tee to add some visual interest. Navy joggers - just so my family knows I do change out of my black ones from time to time! And finally, fluffy slippers for the win!

The last outfit was one I wore for a virtual work meeting in the morning and then changed back into lounge clothes for the afternoon.  Days like that make me realize it will be a hard adjustment going back to "real life" post pandemic! Everything again was closet shopped, but similar items were found! This blazer is more than half off and comes in straight and plus sizes! Here's a secret - I wear a tank under almost every blazer I wear.  It leaves me more space in the arm of the jacket and also leaves me feeling more comfortable because I'm not too warm and things are pulling.  This tank is nearly a perfect match for the one I'm wearing. Gray jeans that again, are from Wit & Wisdom.  And my taupe shoes are sold out, but these are similar.

Let me know if you have any questions!

XoXo ~ ORM
